Four, Five, Six

if it wasn’t for Juneathon…when my friend said we’d got our days mixed up for regiment fitness this morning, I’d’ve crawled home to bed. However it was 7am, sunny and I was up so I made her get up too and we went for a lovely walk with her dog, discovering new footpaths and putting the world to rights.

I also did 75 squats as per the plan. My knees were creaking and I was almost sitting down each time by the end as it hurt so much. I’m not sure how many more of those I’m going to be able to do.

Thursday was a rest day so I did a lunchtime walk, Friday was 70 squats and then after work I dragged hubby out with the promise of beer – we walked 4 miles and had 3 pints which was really quite restrained for us!

If it wasn’t for Juneathon…I’d’ve mugged off my 7.15am alarm this morning and had another hour in the land of nod. Instead I dragged myself out of bed and to the gym for a 45 minute HIIT and weights workout, followed by todays are-your-knees-still-working 60 squats. I also plan to drag my Mum out for a 3-5 mile walk tonight. She’s not going to know what’s hit her :-)BOOM!

If it wasn’t for Juneathon…I’d’ve eaten a supersize Twix today, nibbling the chocolate edges before biting off the toffee and saving the lovely biscuit bit to dip in my tea. But I didn’t because I like to use the athons as a chance to clean up my eating so I had an apple with some almond butter instead which was lovely (honest).

I also did day 2 of the sweet-butt challenge which was 55 squats, and followed it up with a game of squash. My knees are not happy.

if it wasn’t for Juneathon…

I’d have done sweet FA today. As it was I did day one of the 30 squat butt, see-if-we-can-bugger-up-your-knees-for-good challenge which, strangely enough, consisted of squats. 50 of them. So there.

Yippee! I can still run! I am alive! The world is wonderful!

7m run completed, found myself a bit far away from home and out of steam so had to walk the last mile and a bit. I had to take a few walk breaks to catch my breath but my legs felt good. Must be all those good luck wishes 😁

I celebrated with a carton of chocolate mylk, my new favourite obsession. Chocolate milk made from coconut milk and cacoa, it’s delish, healthy and vegan friendly if you’re interested. I’ve ordered some of the chai and green tea flavour too so will let you know what they’re like as I try them.

Today

7m run, 1.3m run

Totals

29m walk, 32.7m run, 2hr cross
